Beetle Juice!

In the beginning...
In 1959 an icon was born, that recognizable it is still instantly known nearly 50 years on. It has been built by different car manufacturers, in different countries and in numerous different styles and had a couple of different names for good measure.

The Mini has taken on more than one form since its creation, vans, pick-ups, estates, saloons, rally cars and many more versions. Appearing in movies, driven by models, royalty (if rumours are to be believed) and millions of the population, it is truly an iconic car.

Designed by Alec Issigonis, for BMC (British Motor Company) as a fuel efficient car due to the Suez crisis and an answer to the European bubble cars seen on our roads at that time. He probably would never have imagined his design would be so fashionable and still prominent in the next millennium, at the time nearly 40 years away.

Revelation 14:9-11: "If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark ... he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever."

Mark I (1962-1967)
The original Mark I models were distinctive for their use of a Hydrolastic suspension. Marketing material highlighted the spacious cabin when compared to competitor models which in the UK by 1964 included the more conservatively configured Ford Anglia, Vauxhall Viva HA and BMC's own still popular Morris Minor

Mark II (1967-1971)In 1967, a 1275 cc engine was available on MG, Riley, Vanden Plas and Wolseley models. The Mark II versions of the Austin and Morris models were announced, with the larger engine making it into these two makes' ranges in October 1967 (as the Austin 1300 and Morris 1300). An 1100 version of the Mark II continued alongside the larger engined models.

Mark III (1971-1974)The Mark III models were introduced in September 1971. The range was gradually reduced, with the MG 1300 dropped in 1971 and the Wolseley 1300 in 1973. The final British ADO16, a Vanden Plas Princess 1300, left the factory on June 19, 1974. The ADO16 was replaced by the Austin Allegro and its Vanden Plas 1500 counterpart. By this time, its original rival, the Ford Cortina, had already grown larger, putting ADO16 into the small, rather than medium-sized class.

Unusually, the ADO16 had continued in production for more than a year since the launch of the Allegro.

Come now let us reason together says the Lord. Chi Iota Sima!
The text-type is Alexandrian. 115 follows the text of Codex Alexandrinus (A) and Codex Ephraemi Rescriptus (C).[3] A curiosity of this text is that it gives "the number of the beast" as 616 (chi, iota, sigma (ΧΙΣ)), rather than the majority text — 666 (chi, xi, sigma (ΧΞΣ)).

7 Heads! 7 Talking Heads!
Seven companies presented plans to build eight diesel submarines for Taiwan, despite protests from China. The companies included three shipyards owned by Northrop Grumman, three owned by General Dynamics and Taiwan's China Shipbuilding Corp., which together with Lockheed Martin attended an initial 16 November 2001 meeting at the US Navy's Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA). The project, estimated to be worth up to $4 billion, calls for eight subs to be built.
